Euthanasia

This service was started for those pet owners that want their pet to be in the comfort of their home or yard when the time comes for them to pass. While we probably all wish our pets would pass away in their sleep when their time comes, unfortunately this is not the reality for most. This is why we offer coming to your home. It allows you to be there for all or none of the process - whatever if right for you.

When our veterinarian arrives to your home, she will explain the process of euthanasia, and what to expect during the visit. All pets receive a sedative prior to the procedure, to ensure they feel relaxed. Every patient is unique, and the process of euthanasia varies from pet to pet. Our veterinarian will answer any questions you have and help you understand the process.

Euthanasia appointments are scheduled daytime, evenings, and weekends. We do our best to accommodate short notice appointments. The appointment is scheduled with enough time so that we do not need to rush.

Aftercare options include you keeping your pet at home for burial (where appropriate), communal, or private cremation.

For more information, please call or e-mail us to discuss.

Locations Serviced

We will do our best to provide services to all who need it. Our standard service region is within a 30 km radius of the intersection of Nelson St and Adelaide St. North in London (see map).

This generally includes London, Komoka, Mt. Brydges, Strathroy, St. Thomas, Aylmer, Dorchester, Ingersoll, Ilderton, Arva, Thamesford, Elginfield, and Thorndale.

If you live outside of this region, we  still may still be able to help - call us to discuss.

Mobile Pet Hospice Services of London is not a standard veterinary clinic or hospital. Our services are limited to those listed above. If you are requiring medical services for your pet such as preventative care, diagnostic testing, or treatment for medical illness - please contact your family veterinarian.  If your pet is ill and your family veterinarian is closed, please contact the London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital at 519-432-3300.
